Corner!!!
What is it about corners that drives cats crazy? Hazel is all about scratching her chin on them. I’ll get home from work in the afternoon, pick her up, and she’ll find a corner on my watch to go to town on.
She also likes to find the corners of books and usually ends up knocking the book out of my hand, causing me to lose my place. Or even worse, she rubs her face on a comic I’m reading and “gasp” bends the pages!
It’s just one of the many strange instincts that cats have. You certainly don’t see people rubbing their chins on random objects … do you?
Just this morning Olive was rubbing her chin on my foot while I rocked Georgia back to sleep. It kinda tickled…but then she moved on to trying to chew the rubberband off of my wrist which was a little gross.
Corners…. cats like to brush the chin and side of the face on things to leave their scent…..
“That’s mine…that’s mine…hey, THAT’s mine!”
My mog passed aged 18 a couple of years back. Vicious so-and-so if crossed, wonderful when cossetted. Used to beg for cuddles…
sorry, digressing (!)
If people did that, there’d be a restraining order involved! Really fun strip, Matt!
